Activities & Fundraising                                             

Car pool trips are arranged two or three times a year to various destinations of interest, both in and around Adelaide and throughout our local area of the Fleurieu Peninsula and lower Mt Lofty Ranges.

Garden Competition

In association with the Strathalbyn Show, held in Spring each year, members are encouraged to participate in the very popular Garden Competition which is held as part of the events.

The monthly Raffle is held as a fundraiser. Members are therefore encouraged to support the Raffle by bringing a prize (or prizes) for the Raffle Table and to join in the Raffle by purchasing tickets for a nominal cost (currently only 50 cents per ticket). Prizes should be well-presented and worthwhile. Examples of prizes are:- plants, flowers, vegetables, fruit, produce, conserves or garden-related items.
The quality of a prize should be such that you, yourself, would be happy to win it. A winning ticket entitles the holder to choose any single prize displayed on the Raffle Table (ie. one prize per winning ticket).

Donation Table & Sellers’ Table
Members are encouraged to bring plants, produce, cuttings etc. for the Donation Table. These are offered for sale, all proceeds raised assisting Club funds.

The Sellers’ Table is available for members to sell their own plants. Members are encouraged to donate some of the proceeds of their sale on this table to the Club.

Members bringing plants or cuttings for the Raffle, Donation Table and Sellers Table are requested to label them clearly with the plant name.
